This World Is Not My Own Documentary

Join RIFF, Georgia Power, and Berry College's Office of Diversity for the documentary, This World is Not My Own. The film will be screened at the Berry College Good Neighbor Center, inside the Krannert building on the campus.

Colorful folk art, chewing-gum sculptures, an art lover from one of Atlanta's most prominent Jewish families, a firebrand wrestler, a notorious murder case, and the segregated south – it’s all part of Nellie Mae Rowe’s boundless universe.

After the film stay for a conversation with Cathi Perry and Cheryl Mashack, Nellie Mae Rowe's great-grand nieces. Cathi is also the president of the Nellie Mae Rowe Foundation. They will also be joined by Dr. Brad Adams, Associate Professor of Art at Berry.

Special thanks to Georgia Power, The National Endowment of The Arts, The Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers, South Arts & the National Endowment for the Arts.
