New - The Rome Film & Entertainment Society

We love the Rome International Film Festival and what it does for this region - spotlighting Georgia filmmakers and independent films especially. But the NEW Rome Film & Entertainment Society is also concerned about how to support our region year- round, and how film and entertainment can benefit our community in other ways. For example, research shows film elicits strong emotions and that watching a film with others creates a feeling of community. Throughout the year, The Society screens documentaries about important issues like literacy, racism, mental health and social justice. After the film we bring business, non-profit, academic and community leaders together to talk with one another about the film and how it applies to our specific issues in Rome and Floyd County. Society members believe that, over time, these open conversations allow us to get to know others we might not normally meet, and provide a forum where people and groups can start to plan real change in Rome and Floyd County.

Benefits: Because the Society supports the Festival and our Year-round programming, you are listed as a supporter all year long (our presentation year ends in June 2025). You recieve two tickets to every RIFF event and reserved front section seating. You are invited to exclusive Society gatherings. You automatically receive one Deluxe Patron Pass to the Rome International Film Festival 2024 for every membership in the Society.
