Frequently Asked Questions

What Is RIFF?

RIFF is a multi-day festival for filmmakers and the community to watch films from Georgia and around the world, attend workshops to learn from professionals in the industry, and attend parties for networking and fellowship.

How do i know what type of Pass to choose?

There is a pass for almost any way you want to become a RIFF participant. You can buy a pass just for the films and workshops throughout the weekend, or add on the fun parties too. If you are a nearly-always-broke-student, we’ve got a pass for you too!

Can I Buy Passes or TICKETs On-Site?

Yes, you can buy a pass and a ticket on-site at our box office, but we encourage you to buy online and either send your pass to your phone or print at home, so you won’t even have to worry about going to the box office.

Are All Accepted Films Eligible For Awards?

All official selection films are in competition. The jury will choose the top films in each category and everyone with a pass to RIFF is eligible to vote for the Audience Choice.

Is There An Age Limit?

Much of the content at RIFF is for adults, though students are welcome at student-oriented events like student film blocks, workshops and student receptions. Our parties and the VIP room are 21+ only.

Is There A Dress Code?

Shirt and shoes are, in fact, required. We want you to be comfortable. November in Georgia can range (on average) from the mid-60-70s during the day and low-30-40’s at night. Some parties have themes, so dress up if you want to! Whatever makes you happy.
