"Made in Rome" Summer Family Movie Series
“Made in Rome” FREE Film Series in June and July
Locals Invited to View Rome-made Movies
& Register to Be in Future Film Projects
Rome, GA – June 12, 2023 – The City of Rome and the Rome International Film Festival (RIFF) have partnered for a fun, free film series themed, “Made in Rome.” Prior to showing three movies filmed in part here on location, a City of Rome “Camera Ready Liaison” will tell behind-the-scenes stories and talk about the launch of the new Film Registry for extras and locations.
The three events will begin at 7 pm and are: June 20th Remember the Titans, filmed in 1999, starring Denzil Washington and rated PG-13; June 27th Sweet Home Alabama, filmed in 2005, starring and rated PG-13; and July 20th Black Widow, filmed in 2021 and rated PG. All films will be shown on the state-of-the-art sound and projection system at the Rome City Auditorium, completely renovated in 2018. Concessions will be available for purchase, including movie treats, popcorn, soda or water and beer or wine. Proceeds will help RIFF present the 2023 Film Festival on November 2-5.
